Overview:
The Web Developer I is responsible for developing and maintaining multiple web and back-office applications built on .NET platforms. The role involves analyzing, designing, coding, debugging, testing, and documenting software. The developer will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, contributing to both new and existing applications. This position requires quick responses to issues raised by internal and external customers and adherence to organizational standards.


Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  1. Software Development and Design:

    • Analyze and evaluate new or modified software programs based on user requests.
    • Create draft technical specifications, including high-level time estimates.
    • Develop, test, and implement web applications using the following technologies:
      • Languages/Frameworks: C#, ASP.NET, MVC, .NET Core
      • Frontend Technologies: JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap, CSS, JSON, AJAX
      • Tools: Visual Studio (2015 and above), TFS
      • Databases: SQL Server 2012/2016 or higher
  2. Digital Experience Platform (DXP):

    • Gain a strong understanding of the Digital Experience Platform (DXP) and Web Content Management Systems (WCMS), particularly within Microsoft .NET technologies, including MVC and MVC Core.
  3. Development Standards:

    • Write clean, readable, testable, and maintainable code.
    • Adhere to best practices in software development.
    • Participate in peer code reviews and create reference documentation.
  4. Testing and Quality Assurance:

    • Conduct unit and integration tests, monitor results, and address issues.
    • Collaborate with QA teams for feature validation and integration testing.
  5. Production Support:

    • Handle production environments and address issues reported in production.
    • Analyze production issues to identify root causes using support tools.
  6. Collaboration:

    • Work closely with business analysts, designers, architects, developers, and quality analysts.
    • Act as a team player, contributing to seamless communication and project success.
  7. Continuous Improvement:

    • Keep up with the latest technologies, techniques, and market trends to develop innovative solutions.

Skills and Certifications

  • Core Technologies:

    • .NET Framework 4.5+
    • ASP.NET Web Forms, C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core
    • SQL Server 2012/2016 and above
    • JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, Bootstrap
    • Web API/WCF/REST Web Services
    • LINQ, XML, JSON, AJAX
  • Tools and Frameworks:

    • Visual Studio 2015/2017 and above
    • Team Foundation Server (TFS)
    • Unit Test Frameworks
  • UI Development:

    • HTML5, React, Angular, or other UI frameworks
  • Content Management Systems:

    • Kentico, DotNetNuke, or similar CMS frameworks
  • Certifications:

    • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA): Web Applications

Education and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 0–4 years of web development experience utilizing the technologies, tools, and methodologies listed under “Skills.”
