Position Overview
As a Front End Sales Engineer – Drive Products, you will be responsible for driving the sales of products, systems, and services within the Drive Products division. You will work to achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable growth, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and developing new sales opportunities and building strong partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Sales and Business Development

    • Achieve sales targets for the Drive Products division, focusing on VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) products.
    • Target and develop new business with channel partners, OEMs, system integrators, and untapped markets.
    • Continuously work with market managers and product sales managers to strategize and promote business growth.
    • Prepare and implement a business plan tailored to each key market, aiming for sustainable growth with EU, CP, OEM, and SI clients.
    • Expand knowledge of new applications to effectively communicate ABB’s product advantages.
  2. Market Development

    • Conduct in-house sales seminars to present ABB’s value proposition.
    • Collaborate closely with channel partners, OEMs, and system integrators, sharing success stories and positioning ABB products effectively.
  3. Commitment to Ownership

    • Take full ownership of meeting budget numbers and monthly order targets.
    • Collaborate with the service team to manage after-sales support and warranty services.
    • Engage with CP, OEM, and SI sales engineers to drive their performance toward meeting goals.
    • Coordinate with the operations team to ensure timely delivery commitments.
  4. Management Information System (MIS)

    • Regularly update business metrics, including product line and market-specific sales data.
    • Prepare and submit monthly MIS reports for stakeholders.
  5. Project & Key Account Management

    • Track key projects and customer activity to develop strategic business plans.
    • Take responsibility for managing large CP, OEM, and SI accounts to ensure project success.

Qualifications

  • Education: BE/BTech or Diploma in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in sales, particularly in Drives and Automation.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of Drives and Automation, with a focus on achieving volume and value sales targets. Must be results-oriented and driven.
