Key Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst, you’ll work with Business Teams to drive data-driven decisions and solve business challenges. This role involves active collaboration with the Business, Product, and Data Engineering Teams. Responsibilities include report and dashboard creation, task automation, and insight sharing based on data exploration and mining.

• Gather and clarify business requirements from Business Teams, identifying the underlying case and building generalized solutions.
• Extract and explore data from databases and other sources, performing data cleaning to resolve any issues or missing values.
• Translate cleaned data into actionable insights, delivering these to the relevant audience.
• Automate recurring data processes and solutions for greater efficiency.
• Alert the Data Engineering Team to data quality issues, ensuring data integrity.
• Follow up on actionable insights shared with business teams to ensure they’re implemented effectively.
• Validate and approve new business requirements thoroughly.
• Share knowledge within the team and with other departments as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• 1-2 years of experience in a data-related field, ideally within a consumer-facing organization.
• Proficiency in SQL (or HQ), with the ability to handle complex and nested queries.
• Strong skills in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel for data cleaning, pivoting, and exploration.
• Experience using at least one Data Visualization Tool, such as Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, or Metabase.
• Basic automation skills in Google Sheets or Excel.
• Familiarity with R or Python for data handling is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to gather business requirements and present insights effectively.
• A natural curiosity for data and a drive to uncover insights.
